Community Health Incubator
In 2021, with the support of the Humana Foundation, the Futures Fund launched its Community Health Incubator, a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurship program at Volunteers of America to accelerate social enterprises that improve quality, equity, and access to care for Medicaid and at-risk populations.

- It supports VOA’s national strategy to lead with health equity, expand whole-person health services, and leverage technology
- Catalytic capital has the power to drive long-term positive, social impact
- Venture partnerships with VOA can accelerate the growth of mission-aligned companies
- Great ideas from VOA frontline staff need support to develop

IMPACT STRATEGY
The Futures Fund’s definition of social impact extends beyond just the value derived by communities VOA serves. It also intends to support sustainable non-profit innovation that improves organizational culture for innovation, increases capacity to serve, and advances racial and health equity.
