WHO WE ARE
Volunteers of America Southeast offers direct human-care services, affordable housing, faith-based resource programs, and community outreach. Some of our services provide care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health issues, substance abuse, low-income seniors, and the homeless.
OUR SERVICES
Affordable Housing
As one of the nation’s largest nonprofit providers of quality, affordable housing, we also provide the vital support services that people need to thrive. We create and manage low-income-level housing for the homeless, the elderly, veterans, and people with disabilities, including physical and mental disabilities.
Community Outreach
Volunteers of America Southeast is constantly reaching out to the community to find the greatest needs. We partner with churches and other agencies to ensure that we are reaching and uplifting people that are truly in need of our services. We believe that by assisting those in need – physically, mentally, and spiritually – and helping them to reach their full potential, our communities become stronger and the lives of each and every member become better.
Behavioral Health
Volunteers of America believes in the importance of keeping families together when possible. The residential substance abuse facilities provide a campus with apartments, a childcare center, and access for mothers to receive counseling and support services.
People with Disabilities
Volunteers of America provides the training and care necessary for an individual with disabilities to reach their full potential. We assist individuals to achieve their greatest level of independence.
Senior Services
Volunteers of America provides safe, affordable housing for low-income seniors. Each facility offers a variety of social events to offer an active and involved lifestyle.
Youth
After-school and summer camps serve Mobile and Baldwin counties. These faith-based activities provide a safe, mentoring environment for at-risk youth.
Faith
Volunteers of America is a Christian service organization. Ministers are a vital part of our organization who partner with other faith-based entities to develop the best ways to meet the needs in our communities.
Veterans Services
A variety of services are offered for veterans and veteran families in Alabama and Georgia. Programs offer training and support services to assist our veterans as they assimilate back into society.
Volunteers of America Southeast
Volunteers of America Southeast inspires self-sufficiency, dignity and hope by providing critical health and human services to thousands of vulnerable individuals and families across the Southeast.
