Veterans Day: Serving Those Who Served Us

We also offer help to those suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including programs that provide substance abuse treatment, family counseling and mental health care.

In 2008, Volunteers of America also helped more than 7,000 homeless veterans by providing transitional housing, job training and other services nationwide. We are a partner with the Veterans Administration, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other agencies to ensure that those who served their country are not forgotten.
